About the classes

Beginners – No experience required | 7.45 – 8.45pm

Never danced before? Great! This initial course will introduce you to the fundamentals of tango: the embrace (abrazo), walk, pivots and more! You’ll be dancing from your first class.

Improvers – Go beyond the basics | 8.45 – 10pm

Ready to go deeper? For those who have already got the basics, we’ll explore giros (turns), musicality and more.

Your teachers

Vessy and Laurence are a part of the European renaissance of tango. They value tradition and have been taught by some of the most well-known maestros. They are semi-finalists of the mundial de tango (virtual) in 2021 and finalists of the Münster Tango Championship and have performed in the UK and Uruguay. They value balance within the dancing couple and close attention to the music. Most recently, they spent a 6 month sabbatical in Argentina and Uruguay to work on their tango.
