GOOD BLACK MEN AND WOMEN ACTING COURSE classes have help many adults to gain confidence to apply for auditions and sign on to agents. We offer informal training in acting and those that want to pursue academic qualifications we have 100% pass rate with adults taking LAMDA qualifications from Entry to level 3 in Acting, Public Speaking and list is endless.
20th November 2021 will be an opportunity for adults to find out about our work and future projects where we will be performing our plays at the Millfield Theatre.
It will give adults a chance to network have refreshments and listen to music African Caribbean music. The Welcome afternoon will be held in the School Theatre
Lorna gained MA in Community Theatre from Goldsmith College.
She has completed a children musical at Bernie Grant Arts Centre about Bob Marley’s childhood. She also trained and gave a group of black children the opportunity to perform at RADA – Childwars based on the Children Soldiers.
She recently trained men and women who performed 12 Angry Black Women at the Westindian Cultural centre. She is currently developing new community productions for adults to get a taste of the acting experience. She is a strong believer in God if you don’t succeed you must try and try again……you will succeed Lorna teaches on a voluntary basis despite holding a MA and other LAMDA qualifications.
Lorna believes that drama can engage all communities. Currently Westminster Kingsway College has given her the opporutnity to teach on the Adult Business as part of her Teaching Training Programme at the college Also spent 6 months training with Tony Cealy in South London working with Theatre of the Oppressed.
