BollyRed has been founded in 2016 in Bristol by Aanchal Gupta who is originally from Mumbai-India. BollyRed moved to London in 2021 and since then BollyRed has performed for GLA, Royal Dock, London Designer Outlet, Womad, Bupa Festival, The Yellow- Wembley Park, Found In Music, and many more private events.

Classes

Bollywood dance is a way of expressing emotions through movements and these movements are influenced by dance styles from all over India and the world. It is fun, energetic, dynamic, diverse, and equally technical.

BollyRed is dedicated to providing you with in-depth training covering techniques, musicality, expressions, and choreography while having a great time.

Our classes are structured in continuous blocks of 4 weeks with the aim to give you all the skills you need to express yourself through music and create your own dance piece.

The classes are open for all levels and are designed to cater to the needs of every dance enthusiast. Many of our students get the opportunity to perform with our professional team and slowly become a part of the Team BollyRed.

The dance style will change every 2 months giving you a wholesome experience of Bollywood dance and music.

Dance Styles: Bollywood Contemporary, Afro-Bolly (Bollywood + Afro), BollyWaack (Bollywood + Waacking), and Indian Folk & Semi Classical, all on Bollywood Music.

Instructors

Aanchal Gupta (BollyWaack, Indian Folk and Semi-Classical)

Aanchal Gupta is professionally trained in Indian Classical dance Bharatnatyam, Bollywood, Bhangra, and Garba. She is the Founder, Director, and Creative Producer of BollyRed and has more than 10 years of teaching and performance experience in India, the US, the UK, and Europe. She is also professionally trained in Salsa and Bachata from California USA and is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor from Sivananda Institute Kerala. She is passionate about creating new fusion styles with Bollywood and is currently exploring BollyWaack which is Bollywood + Waacking.

Hisham Hameed (Contemporary & Afro-Bolly (Bollywood + Afro)

Hisham has been trained in Hip Hop under Prashanth Master in Bahrain for 4 years from 2014 to 2018 and received advance Hip Hop training under Sriraj Kr and Rafeeq Moideen. He is professionally trained in Contemporary by Jishnu Das, renowned film choreographer Sreejith Master and Big Dance Centre alumnus Roshan Naz. He was the semi-finalist of a national television dance reality show Amrita TV Kerala Dance League. He has also worked as the lead of a 75 minutes Dance and theatre drama called Kamala A Ballad of Celestial Love under the banner of Soorya Festival. As part of Bollyred, he will be bringing in 2 different dance styles Contemporary and AfroBolly.
